
Dr. Tarek Ahmed is an experienced Cardiology Registrar with over 21 years of expertise in managing a wide range of cardiac conditions. He earned his MBBCh in Medicine and Surgery from Assiut University in 2003, followed by a Master’s degree in Cardiology in 2009.
Dr. Ahmed completed 12 years of cardiology experience in Saudi Arabia, where he also undertook a 3-year General Cardiology Training Fellowship. He later earned the 1st Degree of Cardiology MD from Menia University in Egypt (2014). In 2023, he completed a one-year Echocardiography Fellowship in Egypt, and in 2024, a six-month Advanced Cardiac Imaging Fellowship (Cardiac CT and MRI) also in Egypt. He joined Sidra Kuwait Hospital as a Cardiology Registrar in October 2024.
Dr. Ahmed’s clinical expertise covers the management of ischemic heart disease, valvular heart disease, heart failure, arrhythmias, cardiomyopathy, pericardial diseases, hypertension, and dyslipidemia. He is also skilled in the use of advanced cardiac investigations, including electrocardiography, echocardiography, treadmill stress testing, Holter monitoring, ambulatory blood pressure monitoring, and cardiac biomarker analysis (Troponin, BNP).
